Why do you feel more discomfort during lip micropigmentation compared to eyebrow procedures?

Here are the reasons:

The skin barrier on the lips is much thinner and more delicate than the skin on the face or other parts of the body. The lips are also constantly exposed to environmental elements such as the sun and cold, dry air, making them more prone to dryness, cracking, flaking, and peeling.

Yes, you may feel more discomfort during lip micropigmentation. However, as your trusted artist, I will make sure to attend to your needs to help minimize discomfort and ensure that you do not experience any trauma during the procedure.

Some after-procedure effects you may experience following a lip tattoo include (but are not limited to:

  • Cold sores on the lips (rare; this may occur in clients with a previous history of cold sores)

  • A tender feeling on certain areas of the lips

  • Swollen lips (this is normal after the procedure and usually subsides within 24 hours) some clients do not swell at all.

An aftercare repair ointment will be provided for you to use during the healing process of your new lip color. Final results are typically visible 14-28 days after the procedure.
